Under - The Third Installment
3rd installment
nothing.
all was quiet......too quiet.
l peaked around the mushroom
and came eye to eyes, eight to be exact
with a fuzzy jumping spider.
we both screamed.
SPIDER!!
HUMAN!!
l jumped back, it jumped.
boy could it jump.
and then it was gone.
now continuing
I screamed.
And screamed.
And screamed.
Ihate am terrified of spiders, tiny little
spiders. This was NOT a tiny little
spider.
Wait, did it say something that I understood.
Yes it screamed HUMAN as I was screaming
SPIDER.
I took a breath and let my heart return to normal
beats per minute.
It could speak. IT COULD SPEAK.
Suddenly I knew I needed to
find thatgod damn spider.
Yes, find it.
George had disappeared.
I decided to go after the spider,
or at least go in the direction it
had jumped. The rain had pretty much
stopped so I was safe from that.......
I started to jog through the grassy
jungle, listening for sounds of the
spider ahead of me.
Mumbling?
What was I hearing.
It sounded like mumbling, someone
talking to themselves.
I couldn't make out the words.
I slowed down. I was not
sure who or what I was coming close to
but I wanted to be careful.
"Who's there?" someone yelled out.
I stopped. I had gotten close.
"Ahhh, Hello?" I said. "Don't freak out,
I just want to meet you. I'm coming towards you."
I started ahead without waiting for
an affirmative. I stepped around the
base of a towering flower and
stopped. There in front of me
was not one, but what looked like
a whole family ofgod damn spiders.
The littlest ones started to cry.
They hid behind their mother?
I couldn't tell who was male or female.
The one that I had seen earlier came forward.
I tried to stand tall, to not show fear.
It was looking at me with its many eyes.
Finally it said something. Something that
filled me with terror.
I turned to run...............
Again, lets finish this chapter....happily or not
its up to you.

Sunday sunday, rainy day thoughts.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did.
So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Under Chapter 2
2nd installment
(as written by my anonymoussister friend)
it was a tiny saint bernard.
apparently he had shrunk too.
around his neck was a cask
that read 'drink up'
so l did.
nothing happened, still the same
but it sure calmed my nerves.
'come on george', l said to the dog.
'let's explore.'
now continuing
Its raining.
I am back under the mushroom.
It is keeping the giant raindrops off me.
Those suckers could give me a concussion for sure.
George is beside me. He is the doggie
that startled me. We have been hanging out
since he found me.
As far as I can tell, we are the only beings
that have shrunk. I drank the fluid in the cask
that George had around his neck. I didn't
grow back to normal size.
George and I have been scrounging
for food. I have been eating mostly
greens from the garden I am growing.
I have found a bit of a path that
leads to the raised beds I put
in last year. There was a rock
sitting next to the wood edging
making it possible to climb up.
At that level, (lol) I could see the
giants (regular sized humans) walking
past on the street.
Life is going on as usual for everyone.
What is going to happen to me?
Maybe this is just a dream,
and I will be waking up at any time.
George whined. I looked at him.
Something was coming. Because
we are so small, we have been
on constant vigilance. Little scary
insects are now almost George sized.
Terrifying.
If I was a little more courageous I would
harness one of those creatures and ride
it like a horse. It happens in the movies all the
time. haha, not going to happen.
The rustling was closer. It was hard to hear
with the rain falling. Hopefully the rain
was slowing down our visitor.
Suddenly, a hairy leg came out from behind
a plant. More hairy legs!
George was starting to bark.
I grabbed his collar and we moved around behind
the mushroom. If I couldn't see the creature,
surely he couldn't see me?
What happens next? Do I get eaten by a
giant arachnid or do I braid together some
blades of grass into a harness and make that
spider my new pet???

Under, the beginning
1st installment
I peered around the base of the mushroom I was hiding under.
What kind of Alice in Wonderland hell was I in.
Did I eat the little cake that shrunk me?
I don't remember eating anything at all.
I could hear rustling in the freaking
tall grass in front of me.
My mind could only imagine what was coming
towards me.
If I was this small, than all the little creatures
that scared the crap out of me
would be like, large dog sized???
My heart was racing, I don't think
I can deal with this.....
I decided to take action, I looked around
and found a stick...or what looked like a stick
to me. I held it at shoulder height ready to
swing.
The rustling got closer accompanied with
the sound of munching?
Oh this was not going to work.
I looked around for a path.
Ah ha, an opening behind me.
I started running, running
away from the rustling and
munching sound.
I ran for what seemed like
miles before I stopped to
take a breath.
I closed my eyes.
In and out, in and out,
I tried to calm myself
down, surely this
was a bad dream and soon
I would wake. I willed
myself to wake, but
couldn't.
I opened my eyes.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I Once
I once rode a pegasus across the sky.
Daily to and fro. My winged horse was stabled
on earth but every chance he got, he was in the air
soaring like an eagle today.
I am immortal. I have lived the fairytales you
tell to your children. When my horse became tired (can you believe it)
of always flying, he became grounded. But he still wanted to be
a majestic animal, so he was a unicorn. He had a little magic .
He let me ride him once in awhile. It wasn't nearly as exhilarating
as flight but we were friends and I excepted his change.
As the decades flew past and people slowly stopped
believing in magic, he found his life as a unicorn to
be a dangerous one. Always being hunted.
So, my great friend decided to use his
magic again. He decided to take to the seas.
He explained that I would not be able to go with him
this time, but he would remember me always.
I was sad and debated that there were lots
of animals he could become and be safe, but
he never wanted to be normal, he always wanted
to be something no one else was.
He decided to become a tusked whale. Today we
call him Narwhal. He used up all his magic and made
himself a family. His family grew and grew and now
today there are lots of these mythical creatures.
These we have excepted and still believe in.
I imagine I have seen him on my treks to the north.
I have taken a few.
Today, I live and move around. I have been to every
continent, every country, and still I have time.
Maybe someday I will find some magic,
and join my friend in the sea.

Freedom kitty
So, I was visiting a friend last night
and bused home this morning.
It was a gorgeous morning with bright blue skies, fluffy little clouds, and frost on the grass and rooftops.
While out exploring the lovely day (grocery shopping) I spotted this little kitty rolling and rubbing on the sidewalk and the first thought I had was, FREEDOM. I bet this little kitty has escaped his human captors and is completely enjoying his freedom....makes me want to get out and climb some trees...or swing as high as I can.
What would you do with such freedom?
